How do I send the system output to a content delivery network (CDN) or video platform

Setting Up a Workflow to Stream Directly to Your CDN or Video Platform

  1. Steps to Stream to a CDN or Video Platform:

    1. Create or Select a Workflow:

      • Either create a new Live Streaming workflow or choose an existing workflow that you want to use to stream to your CDN or video platform.
    2. Go to the Outputs Tab:

      • On your workflow editing page, navigate to the Outputs tab.
      • Click "Create new config," then select "Create Output Push Configuration."
    3. Enter the URL:

      • Enter the URL provided by your CDN or video platform.
      • If authentication is required (such as an account name or password), follow the specific syntax provided by your CDN or platform provider. Check their documentation for details.
    4. Save Your Settings:

      • Once the URL and any required credentials are entered, click "Save."

Now your workflow is set up, and you can start streaming to your CDN or video platform.

Important Notes:

The video output push configuration uses the RTMP protocol to send your stream to a CDN or video platform.
  • Text-only streams (like those used in video output pull, text configuration, or website output configuration) cannot be sent using RTMP.
  • Subtitles must be burned in or embedded as closed captions:
    • Burned-In Subtitles: Only one subtitle language can be burned into the video. If no translation language is selected, the input language will be used for subtitles.
    • Closed Captions: You can embed up to four subtitle languages. The media input language will appear on track one, with translation languages on additional tracks, in the order they were selected in the Process menu.
