How do I livestream subtitles and translations to a website?

Setting Up a Workflow for Live Transcription and Translation on an Autogenerated Website

Steps to Stream Transcripts and Translations to an Autogenerated Website:

  • Create a New Workflow:

    • Log in to your Deep Live Hub account.
    • Click the red "+ Workflow" button and select "Live Stream" from the top menu.
    • Choose the "Custom" configuration as a template.
    • Enter a name for your workflow in the "Name" field and click "Finish."
  • Configure Your Workflow:

    • After creating the workflow, you’ll be directed to the workflow configuration page.
    • Navigate to the Process tab.
  • Select Translation Languages:

    • In the middle column of the Process page, choose your translation languages by selecting from the dropdown menu.
    • Click on a language to select it, and click again to deselect it.
    • Transcripts and subtitles are automatically generated for the input language.
    • Click "Save" to confirm your settings.
  • Choose an ASR Configuration:

    • Select an ASR configuration for the AI to generate transcripts.
    • Choose a processing time between 3-20 seconds. Longer times yield better grammar and translation quality but introduce a delay.
    • If you select partials mode, the AI will return results as soon as they are available, but partials are only available for transcripts, not translations.
    • Click "Save" to confirm your settings.

What Is Partials Mode?

Partials Mode returns initial results as soon as the AI detects speech, allowing faster updates. However, this mode currently only works for transcripts, not translations.
  • Enable the Live Editor (Optional):

    • If needed, enable the Live Editor by sliding the option to the right. This allows for human corrections before the transcripts go live.
    • Click "Save" to confirm.
  • Set Up Outputs:

    • Go to the Outputs tab.
    • Click "Create new config" and select "Website Output Configuration" to display live transcripts and translations on an autogenerated website.
  • Collect Input URLs:

    • Go to the Overview tab to collect the URLs for ingest (RTMP or WebRTC) and your stream key.
    • Enter the URLs into your video stream encoder.
  • Start the Stream:

    • Start streaming to Deep Live Hub.
  • Access the Autogenerated Website:

    • Once your stream is live, pick the "Aiconix Live Viewer URL" from the Overview Output menu in your workflow editing page.
    • Paste the URL into a new browser window and enter the PIN to access the Live Viewer.

What Is the Live Viewer?

The Live Viewer is an autogenerated website that displays real-time transcripts and translations for your audience. It’s accessible via a browser once a stream has been started in Deep Live Hub. In a future release branding your Live Viewer will also be possible.

Note: The Live Viewer will only open once you have started streaming to the Deep Live Hub.
