Glossary:

  • SRT URL:
A link to a text stream that contains subtitles with time codes. These time codes tell the player when each subtitle should appear and disappear during the video. Enter this URL into your player to display subtitles.
  • HLS Egress:
This is the output of a stream using the HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) protocol. It delivers both audio and video over the internet, with subtitles and translations embedded into the video for easy playback.
  • RTMP Egress:
A streaming protocol used to send video and audio to platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook. With RTMP egress, you can stream video that includes either burned-in subtitles (which are permanently visible) or closed captions (which viewers can toggle on or off).
  • Live Viewer Application:
A browser-based tool in Deep Live Hub that allows users to view live transcripts and translations as they are generated during a live stream. You can access this in real-time through your web browser.
